Sony Xperia Z5 Rumored Specs & Features You need to Know About

The Japanese giant is indeed going crazy with their upcoming flagship device release, which is not the Xperia Z5 but the Sony Xperia Z4. Even before the Sony Xperia Z4 has even set sail, we dug the internet to see whether we could find any legit leaks or rumors regarding the 2016 Sony flagship device. Did you notice we have said 2016 and not the last quarter of 2015?

Sony Xperia Z5 Rumor

Many dependable sources have claimed that Sony is about to move out from their ‘2 flagships a year’ strategy and only release one smartphone each year, instead. Releasing more smartphones is definitely a good profit making way to have, but the consumers who had purchased the earlier flagship just very recently would feel left out and deprived. To check the situation, Sony had to step up. However, we aren’t sure yet; these things tend to change very often.

Sony Xperia Z5 Feature Checklist

How could someone possibly interpret a future smartphone’s features when even its predecessor hasn’t been released? It is possible to put some statistics and technological innovation data together and make up a new model. The problem with this trick is, there’s no guarantee that our prediction will match Sony’s mindsets and they don’t have to gather configuration ideas from our write ups either.

But if we were to put on the Sony R&D dept. shoes, what could have been the upcoming attractions for the Sony Xperia Z5? We tried putting it all together.

Chipset and RAM

Present smartphones are using the Snapdragon 801 SoC and Snapdragon 810 as well. These chips are octa core, runs on low power and low heat production, and most importantly – capable of doing 64 bit processing. Hence, the Sony Xperia Z5 will be one of the most powerful smart devices when it comes out.

4 GB RAMs can’t work on a 32 bit ecosystem; there are geeky problems like the address bus and data bus mismatch etc. 64 bit architecture solves the existing problem and we expect to see phones with 4 GB RAMs by the second quarter of 2015. Why wouldn’t a 2016 flagship smartphone have a 4 GB RAM?

Camera

Our expectations with the camera are tad bit higher. The 2014 flagship from Sony is most likely to introduce a 20 megapixel camera sensor. Sony already makes the best mirror less cameras so it won’t be any difficult to produce the best quality imaging sensors for smartphone devices as well. To set our bar higher, we have opted for a 30 megapixel camera that would have G+ sensors built in. Surprised? Well, don’t be. The stage of innovations we have reached; anything can get invented any time.

For the selfie heads, there would be the 10 megapixels front camera. Who said front cameras can’t be better?

Storage

Speaking of the storage capacity, this should start from at least 32 GB up to 256 GB. A phone that captures 4K videos and is also capable of showing that; just shouldn’t end at a smaller capacity storage. Why would you fit in a large engine into a tiny cowling?

Security

Sony hasn’t put any fingerprint scanner yet; there might be one in the next build. Apart from reading fingers, there might be a retinal scanner as well which provides access to users’ most confidential data.

Summary

We had to be blind shooting the specs we think the Sony Xperia Z5 would have. Whatever the configuration is, expect a grand piece of art in the upcoming year.
